Stener lesion.


Coronal proton density-weighted (left and middle) and STIR (right) images through the dorsal aspect of the metacarpal head. The normal orientation of the UCL is vertical (green dotted line) and lies deep to the adductor aponeurosis (blue dotted line) which can be imperceptible. Stener lesions demonstrate a dramatic change in ligament orientation (red dotted lines) and the adductor aponeurosis is often seen just distal to and abutting the displaced ligament (arrowheads).
