The gluteus minimus tendon (Gmn) inserts on the anterior (A) facet and the gluteus medius (Gme) inserts on the superoposterior (SP) and lateral (L) facets. Three commonly encountered bursae are: trochanteric (TB), subgluteus minimus (SGmn), and subgluteus medius (SGMe).
