Hip Anatomy

1-Ball and socket joint.

2-Acetabulum covers 40% of the femoral head.

3-A fibrocartilagenous labrium increase the depth of the acetabulum.

4-95% of the femoral neck is intra articular(very important), so the neck does not have periosteum, it is not suspected to see periosteal reaction in this area and if you see bone fragment around neck, this means that this bone fragment is present inside the joint and not outside.
