Femoro-acetabular impingement

1-Micro trauma due to impingement of head of femur against acetabulum.

2-Results in abnormal signal (mirror image) in acetabular rim and femur head.

3-Associated with labral tear and cartilage degeneration.

4-Clinically, recurrent attacks of severe hip and groin pain.

5-Pain increases by flexion and internal rotation and weight bearing.
