Examination protocol

Here you can use the following protocol

1-Surface coil.
2-Field of view ( FOV ) 8 cm to 10 cm.
Every time you decrease the field of view, the time of the examination is increased but you can produce good quality images.
3-256x192 matrix.
4-Slice thickness 3 mm/ 1mm gaps.
5-Axial, sagital and coronal.
6-T1,T2,Gradient and STIR images.
 The most useful images in ankle is axial images.
Axial is taken perpendicular to the long axis of the tibia, while coronal is taken perpendicular to the sole of the foot.
7-Take care of tendons and bone marrow during evaluation of the ankle joint.
